Guidelines

Writing a guest blog can be overwhelming without proper guidance. Here are a few strategies to get you started:

Pick Your Own Topic

We don’t provide a list of topics so it is up to you as the writer to come up with your own topic. Do your research and write your article.

If you’ve got an idea for your article, write it and then we will publish it if the article meets the guidelines we have given above and is something we think our readers will enjoy.

Original Posts Only

Please don’t take content or information from another website and copy and paste it as your own. It isn’t fair to the original author and absolutely unfair to our faithful readers. We accept submissions under the assumption that they are submitted with unique and original content.

Our readers expect a high level of quality and readability. Use proper spelling and grammar, please. Grammarly is a free service that allows you to check your work for spelling and grammar errors before submitting it to us.

Great Title

The first thing that will catch the eye of our readers and make them want to read your article is the title. Readers these days browse quickly so choose a title that is short and catchy.

After choosing a wonderful title you should make sure the first line of your opening paragraph is just as captivating. You’ve managed to get the reader’s attention now you just have to keep it!

Photos Optional

If you are going to submit a photo with your article please make sure that the photo you use is from a place that offers free stock photos. And also when you submit the photo please make sure that you give proper credit for the photo. And provide a link to the sources you’ve used.

Word Count

Your article should be between 1000 and 1500 words. Our ideal guest post will include an introduction, 2 or 3 subheadings with paragraphs expounding on each subheading and a summarizing paragraph. All articles you submit should be related to parenting and babies in some way.

We do expect proper spelling and grammar. Paragraphs should be 2-3 sentences long for easy browsing. This helps with the short attention span that has created the need for internet articles such as these.

Ready to Submit Your Article

You’ve picked your topic, write the article, and now you want to be featured as a guest blogger for Childmode and see your work come to life and be published.

We are passionate about babies and parents and if you’re looking to write to us we hope you share that love too. Please send a short bio, your article, and author photo to form submit.
